Won't be draedful one, conscripts make poor soldiers. It's hard enough training soldiers who actually want to be there, near enough impossible to train those who don't. No, I think the army itself would stand against this and Blair's not long for this parliament anyway and wouldn't be able to swing such a controversial move if he's even thought about it.
