It warned me that if I did that, all existing content on my iPod would be replaced by the contents of my iTunes library.

DRM only applies to the itunes store, and that is easily bypassed.

I have had my mini for 5 years and my iphone for 2, both have their nicks and dents (and have been dropped alot) but are still running strong.

What sort of multitasking do you need to do on a music player?

Proper wireless connections are secure.

Reminds me, I can hear my neighbor "Tiny" (alway in sleaveless shirt with bib overalls 6'4'' and abt 350 lbs.) when he's on his cordless phone with my wireless TV headphones.

no wireless connection is secure EVER

hell wired are not always secure unless full EM and RF sheilded and then there is a possibility of eaves dropping.

there is nothing on the consumer market that is by and far secure at all.

iphone ipad? what sort of multitasking would you want from your personal smart-device?

Apple although doing what they do well are way over priced with good marketing, however they are the defacto industry standard upong which everything is compared ( the new zune whoops it's arse imo

In that case nothing is secure, including your locked front door, I could always use a tank to blow it up.

Only if you plan on violating the copyright holders rights, besides music on iTunes has been DRM free for over a year.

How exactly would you multitask on an iphone any more than you currently use it? I've never really understood the reasoning behind this argument. I can surf the web, check my email etc while making a phone call. Seems like multitasking to me.

It's only overpriced if someone offers a better product for less money. The droid comes close to the iphone, but at the moment the iphone is a superior overall product.

IPad is garbage though.
