Default Legal theory threads: Would people be interested?

As a law school student I spend a great deal of breaking down law into a digestable form. I'm curious as to how an audience without legal training, and with a large number of non-US citizens, would respond to US law if it were presented in comprehensible English. If I were to occasionally post threads summarizing some concept of law, such as battery or trespass, would people be interested?

I for one would be very interested to know how the US legal system works in relation to torts and to common criminal matters.

Go for it BL

I wouldn't be able to contribute anything sensible, since pretty much the only thing I carried away from my law degree was my tag-line, but yeah, why not?

Don't be so modest

And, yeah, like Sarj, i'd be quite interested but, mostly, with a view of debating the most bizarre or extreme cases such as this guy taunting and shooting in the back 2 burglars and being able to walk away on 'self-defense'...

My main interest would be to compare the legal system in the US with that in Australia.

Not so much on a theoretical level but as to how it effects the person in the street.

I agree Neko

The only innocents around here are you and me - although I am not completely sure about you

I think I'd be interested, time allowing.
