No but it coulda been if Bush hadn't fucked it up from the beginning. It would have taken someone really good to pull it off but it could have been done I think at least better than what we have going on now.

Did you know that we Lost 60 thousand American soldiers in a very similar Vietnam war cuz we kept going for years after we knew it was hopeless, but did not want to admit it was a mistake?

In other words, WE COULDA got the hell out of Vietnam years before we did.

Then 10s of thousands of American soldiers COULDA been alive today.

Unfortunately, that's not a guarantee that there won't be another nut who carries the sputtering torch. There are more "Bushes" out there. All of them should be out of whatever office they surround their bags of bones with. But that's going to take some time and a lot of industrial-strength disinfectant.

very true, and here's the kicker:

If there is some country called Iraq in a few more years that is as friendly to USA as Pakistan or Egypt let’s say; will it have been worth the astronomical price in dollars and lives? Those countries could revolt overnight – likely will I’d say.
Whatever is left there in a few years will not be worth what Americans will have paid.

Even if Iraq turned out to be as great of an investment for Americans as Israel is ?? – oh shit – I better quit while I’m behind.
