Seems pretty harmless.

No wars.
No surrendering a major US city to a natural disaster.
No tax breaks for the wealthy.
No pushing of liberal agenda...but the Republicans really didn't do too much for their religious nutball base when they controlled both houses and the executive branch...so that's kind of a wash.

Eh? I wish there was a functional alternative...but I'd rather the congress that we have to the republicans being back in total control.

I suppose doing pretty much noting of substance is better that the republican alternative;

Gutting the constitution
Redisticting to sway elections
Awarding cronies with big contracts
emptying the US treasurey
Gutting environmental law
Gutting worker safety law
Gutting consumer protection law (anyone wonder why all of a sudden all the recalls?)
starting wars
Ignoring the illegal immigration problem
Mishandling Katrina
protecting big business at consumer expense
Stacking the courts with political cronies
Bashing gays
Throwing tax dollars at churches
Integrating the religious right into the federal government
Cutting taxes of the wealthy

the list goes on but basically included anything that is pro business and anti middle lower class.

You know, all the crooked shit the republicans have been doing since they took control.

The only thing worse than a congress that does nothing is one that has been busy.

The nation is in interia right now. Lame duck President AND lame duck Congress. We seem to be floating along until November, hoping nothing bites us in the butt in the meanwhile.

I predict procrastination.
